Who we are

BGY Consulting S.r.l. is founded in 2021 with the purpose to provide engineering support mainly addressed to middle & small companies.

The cooperation with skilled resources allows us to satisfy multiple requests in the petrolchemical plants, such as design (2D and 3D) of simple and pressurized vessels, elements and structures of metal carpentry, consultancy for welding of items subject to pressure and structural elements, instrumental engineering services, sampling systems, automation systems.

For carrying out the design activities, reference is made to standard rules for designation in compliance with national and international standards.
The company can count on qualified professionals to complete the design and computer-assisted drawing (CAD-CAE) services: development of documentation, detailed drawings, preparation of bill of materials, welding specifications and non-destructive examinations, execution of analysis for automatic calculation.
The company also has a large number of contacts with both material suppliers and manufacturers in order to create a synergy for the complete supply, from design to installation of the finished product.

Skills

Mechanical design is carried out in accordance with the most widespread international standards and / or customer specifications.

Complete design of boiler elements, such as simple and pressure vessels, heat exchangers, in accordance with the main national and international standards (API 650, ASME VIII Div.1 & Div.2, EN 13445-3, WRC-107, WRC-297, WRC-368, GOST 34347 and others).

The main elements of regulatory verification are:
  • pressure
  • loads on nozzles
  • wind/snow/seismic loads
  • check of live loads (oscillations of ships and platforms, inertial loads, incidental and accidental external loads)
  • verification of tanks and lifting accessories, both in installation and transport conditions

  • Issue or revision of Welding Book in accordance with ASME IX, AWS or EN-15614
  • Quality control plans
  • Issue or revision of documents necessary for the certification of systems or components
  • PED classification of pressure vessels and piping
  • Issue or revision of technical files according to PED
  • Issue or revision of technical passports
Inspection activities of equipment under operation:
  • Thickness check in order to monitor the state of conservation
  • Mechanical calculation to verify the stability (necessary in case of underthickness of elements recorded against the nominal thickness of construction)
  • Cyclic loads calculation, necessary to determine the residual service life
Basic and detailed engineering of instrumentation / automation systems in the Oil & Gas, petrochemical and power markets. Starting from the information provided by the "process" and "mechanical" disciplines (P&ID, PFD, piping class specification) it is possible to manage and develop all the detailed design of instruments, valves and installations / connections, including calculation and selection of components.
